A Chronicle of Brazil’s Conservative Turn

Since the 2018 presidential election result in Brazil, much debate has ensued about the country’s so called ‘conservative turn’. A Horizon of Impossibilities brings together a myriad of different perspectives to help us better understand the political events that have shaken the country in recent years. Taking an interdisciplinary approach, it offers a panoramic view on social and political change in Brazil which shows the previous and current limits of Brazilian democracy, and gestures towards what is yet to come.
