We dedicate this book to Andrew Graham-Yooll

Very shortly before this book was published, we learned that our friend Andrew Graham-Yooll had died. Andrew was a big part of this project: he participated in the production, writing and editing process.

Andrew was a great journalist, historian, translator and poet, but above all, a great person whom we shall always remember.
